To the newborn - Neonates should sleep for about 14-17 hours, but they should not sleep more than 19 hours.

Children of 3-5 years old - According to experts, sleep for 10-13 hours is enough for children of this age group. Apart from this, less than 8 hours and sleep more than 14 hours is not considered right for these children.

Children of 6-13 years old - The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) recommends sleep for 9 to 11 hours for children of 6 to 13 years of age. For them less than 7 and 11 hours sleep is not considered correct.

In adolescence - people aged 14 years and 17 years are advised to sleep for 8-10 hours but less than 7 and more than 11 hours sleep is not suitable for them.

Adults - people aged 18 years and up to 64 years should take at least 7-9 hours of sleep. Apart from this, they should not be sleeping less than 6 hours and more than 11 hours.

For the elderly - people over 65 years of age should take at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Such people should not sleep less than 5 hours and not more than 9 hours.
